Frequently asked questions about statice
What is statice?
Statice is the florists' name for the annual limonium, part of a genus that also includes perennial species. The papery flowers keep their colour exceptionally well after drying, which is why statice is so widely used in dried bouquets.
Which colours of statice do you stock?
Statice sinuata per bunch in white, pink, peach, violet and dark violet, limonium in yellow, pink, pink-white and white (60 to 70cm), statice suworowii in pink 60cm and statice tatarica per 2.5kg.
What is the difference between statice sinuata, suworowii and tatarica?
Sinuata is the classic statice with winged stems and clusters of papery flowers. Suworowii, also called rat-tail statice, has slender, tapering flower spikes. Tatarica is a fine, branched, white filler, sold by weight.
How is statice sold?
Statice sinuata and limonium come per bunch in a small packaging of 5, with a mastercarton of 15 to 20 bunches at a lower price per bunch. Statice tatarica is sold per box of 2.5kg.
How long does dried statice last?
Like other dried flowers, 6 months to 2 years on average. Keep it dry and out of direct sunlight to preserve the colour.
